Overall, Photo Standard 9.0 2004 is an ideal package for someone new to digital photography that wants to do more than just print out their snaps onto glossy paper. The included video tutorials and common tasks menu makes those first tentative steps into digital imaging manipulation seem like a walk in the park. The lack of additional filters may be a turn off for those wanting more than the basic 10, but this is just a small mark on an otherwise blemish-free package. --Martin Snelling All the regular photo correction tools are present including red-eye removal, lighting adjustments and rotate. A really cool feature that is hidden away on a drop-down menu is the ability to crop an image to different pre-set proportions including widescreen, wallet, TV, PDA and even smart phone--ideal if you want to use an image as wallpaper on your compatible mobile phone.
